There were two gender reveals that made the news this past weekend, Sept. 5-7: one that started a wildfire in California and the funny one the Cressottis made.
Tom and Kristin Cressotti’s gender reveal party went viral when the Today Show did a segment on it earlier in the month.
The video shows Tom and Kristin with their young daughter standing in a backyard holding large poppers - the kind where you pull a string and stuff explodes out of the top.
Unfortunately for the Cressottis, they were holding them backward and when the explosion went off - blue smoke, they’re having a boy - it shot right into the family.
Everyone was okay, if a little blue, except for Tom who was laid out by the projectile that shot straight into his shorts.
The Westfield family has a good sense of humor about the incident and told the Today show they’re excited to meet their new son.
A quick Google search for the video - which you can watch here - shows that Tom wasn’t the first dad to accidentally shoot himself in the babymaker during a gender reveal party.
